Biography
Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, born on 29 November 1960 in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, is a Nigerian medical doctor and politician serving as Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State since 29 May 2019.
He trained as a medical doctor at the University of Jos and completed specialist training in ophthalmology at Jos University Teaching Hospital, building a distinguished career in medicine, academia, and health administration.
Before becoming deputy governor, he served in key public leadership roles including Commissioner for Health, where he championed healthcare system strengthening, hospital expansion, and improved service delivery for citizens.
